Can I use UGrowth without an account or internet?
Yes. Child profiles, growth, vision, dental records, memos, reminders, charts, and unlocked local features can be used without signing in. If cloud sync is not enabled, those records stay on this device and are not uploaded to UGrowth servers.
What is cloud sync?
Cloud sync uploads the active family’s child profiles and records to UGrowth servers and keeps authorized devices up to date. It also enables family account sharing. Cloud sync requires an account, an active cloud service period, and a network connection.
How does the one-year cloud service work?
The one-year cloud service is a one-time purchase through Apple. It does not renew automatically. Purchasing again extends the available service period. The purchase includes cloud sync, family sharing, and access to premium features during the service period.
What is the difference between lifetime unlock and cloud service?
Lifetime unlock permanently enables local premium features for the Apple purchase account, including PDF export, additional children, and future local premium features. It does not include cloud storage. The one-year cloud service provides sync and family sharing for its service period.
How do I sign in or join a family account?
Open Settings → Cloud Sync & Family Account. A family owner can use Sign in with Apple. A family member can use the family login code or QR code created by the owner. Keep login and invitation codes private.
What can family members do?
Authorized family members can view and edit shared records. Only the family owner can add children, export shared family data, create or remove member accounts, and manage the cloud service. Changes made by one member are synchronized to other authorized devices.
When does synchronization happen?
After cloud sync is active, UGrowth attempts synchronization when local data changes, when you switch to the Home or Records tab, and when the app returns to the foreground with pending changes. Signing in or activating cloud service may also start synchronization. Pull down on Home or tap “Sync Now” on the cloud page to retry manually. Local records remain available while offline.
What happens when cloud service expires?
New uploads stop, but local records remain usable and existing cloud data is not automatically deleted. Purchasing another service period restores cloud access. You can still delete the account from the app.
How do I move to a new device?
If cloud sync was active, sign in to the same family account on the new device and allow synchronization to finish. Without cloud sync, UGrowth cannot restore app records from a PDF; restoration may depend on your iPhone system backup.
How do I export a PDF?
Open Settings → Growth Data → Export PDF, select the child, date range, and content, then use the iOS share sheet. PDF export requires lifetime unlock or eligible premium access. For shared families, only the family owner can export. A PDF is for reading and sharing and cannot restore app data.
How do I delete a record, child, or account?
- Open a record’s details and use the action menu to delete it.
- Open the child’s details to delete the child after the confirmation steps.
- Open Settings → About → Delete Account to permanently delete an online account.
A family owner’s account deletion removes the family and its cloud data. A member’s deletion removes that account and membership while shared family records remain. When signing out, a family owner can keep local data or synchronize and then clear it. A family member’s local family data is cleared when they sign out or leave the family.
Why did I not receive a reminder?
Check the reminder’s date, time, and repeat settings. Then open iOS Settings → Notifications → UGrowth and confirm notifications are allowed. Completing a repeating reminder completes only that occurrence and creates the next scheduled occurrence.
What should I do if a purchase or Apple sign-in fails?
Confirm that the device is online, the App Store account is available, and the date and time are correct. Try again later or use Restore Purchases for an existing purchase. If the issue continues, contact support without sending passwords, login codes, receipts containing unnecessary personal data, or children’s health records.
Is UGrowth medical advice?
No. Growth references, percentiles, trends, and predicted values are general information only. They do not diagnose or treat a condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional if you have concerns about a child’s growth, vision, dental health, or other health information.
